Prior to 1947, Charles H. Hensley was building homes in Albuquerque New Mexico. Sometime that year, he arrived in Riverside, California, and resumed building homes. In 1949 he moved again to Sacramento, a place to build, call home and finally retire sometime in the early 60's. In 1959 Allen R. Hensley began his career along side of his father as a General Contractor in Sacramento. He became successful in building with his “Golden Key Homes”. Marketing and design was also successful with “Hensley Realty” operated for over twenty years by Lucille H. Hensley, a real estate broker.

   In 1972 a new corporation was formed, “A. R. Hensley Inc.” and building was prosperous. In 1977 Allen's son Mark H. Hensley began his career as a General Contractor and Corporate Officer with A. R Hensley Inc. In 1986 Allen and Lucille Hensley retired. A new company was created in 1986 called “M. H. Hensley Co.” Over the next twenty years this company has completed numerous projects in Northern California and Hawaii, both residential and commercial construction.

   In 2007 Mark and his son Tyler Z. Hensley formed yet another company, a partnership, “M. H. Hensley Co. Partnership”... and so after six years of learning his trade Tyler has begun his General Contracting career. For over sixty years the Hensley family has served the greater Sacramento area. Our first obligation has always been to the customers satisfaction, we stand behind our product even after it has sold. Our only standard is excellence in design, development, and construction. Going on four generations, the Hensley's have conducted business with integrity to maintain their reputation as a progressive, reliable home building organization.
